Tilly and the Wall’s new album, which I mentioned weeks ago, will be called “Heavy Mood” and will be released Oct. 2 on Team Love Records.
Mike Mogis produced the album and Nick Zinnner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs appears on it in addition to Clark Baechle and Shane Aspergren.
Listen to the first song from the album, “Love Riot,” below.
The song starts with regular drums instead of tap dancing, but the tapping thankfully comes in near the end. If the rest of the album follows the drive of this song, I think we’re in for a treat.
A release mentions the life-changing events that happened to Tilly bandmembers, chiefly marriage and children for several. It means a few changes for the music, too, including electric guitars and more electronic beats.
