On Aug. 2 (that’s tomorrow), Desaparecidos will release two new tracks: “MariKKKopa” and “Backsell,” the latter of which was one of two new songs performed at the band’s secret reunion show back in April.

Stream “MariKKKopa” here and stream “Backsell” right here (it’s in the music player on the right hand side).

The two songs are available tomorrow digitally and on 7-inch vinyl through desaparecidosband.com.

Both songs have the indie punk sound that the band is know for. “MariKKKopa” climbs “inside the mind of one of vigilante sheriff Joe Arpaio’s posse members,” according to a press release. “Backsell,” as I mentioned when the band debuted the song, sounds like a stab at the music industry and fame.

Desaparecidos play the Maha Music Festival on Aug. 11, which is the second show of its late-summer tour.

What do you think of the new songs?
