Last week, we popped by Slowdown and were invited upstairs to see Rhett Miller, frontman for alt-country band the Old 97′s. We set up our cameras and Rhett sat down with his acoustic guitar.
Two songs. Two takes. BAM! We had ourselves a new edition of Guest List.
Miller played two selections from his latest solo album, “The Dreamer,” including “Picture This” above and “Out of Love” over on Omaha.com.
And not only is Miller a good musician (and quite professional, too), he’s a good dad. Immediately after finishing up the shoot, he called his son to help with the kid’s fantasy football roster. (Unfortunately, we didn’t get any good tips.)

Great Rhett Miller videos and interview. I’m an Omaha native now in Dallas and am a big Old 97′s fan. The Too Far to Care shows are great–also featured Those Darlins and Rhett solo as openers.
Keep up the good work Kevin.
