HearNebraska.org’s second ‘Take Cover’ event is tonight

Take Cover is a pretty cool event put on by HearNebraska.org.

This year’s event includes 14 artists who will each perform a single original song and a single song by another Nebraska artist.

Check out the even tonight, which includes a raffle ($5 per ticket) with prizes including a pair of Maha Music Festival tickets, a gift package from Hello Holiday and more.

Check out the show at 9 p.m. at The Sydney, 5918 Maple St. $5 at the door.

Here are the performers (and, as far as I could tell, what they’re performing):

• Heather Berney (The Betties) — “Three Rounds Down” by Matt Cox
• Django Greenblatt-Seay — “After O’Rourke’s, 2:10 A.M.” by The Good Life
• Rebecca Lowry (All Young Girls Are Machine Guns) — “The Rainbow Connection” by Paul Williams and Kenny Ascher
• Rachel Tomlinson Dick (HERS) and Teal Gardner (UUVVWWZ) — “Visiting Lights” by Outlaw Con Bandana
• Aaron Parker (Gordon) — “Less Than the Air” by David Dondero (who’s not from Nebraska, but whatever… “He should be!,” Parker told HearNebraska.)
