Lincoln Calling Band of the Day: Hot Buttered Rum (Friday)

Hot Buttered Rum

Lincoln calling is a five-day music festival that takes place at 10 Lincoln venues through Saturday. Every day, catch our Band of the Day here on Rock Candy.

It wouldn’t be a festival in Nebraska without some bluegrass, and Bay Area-band Hot Buttered Rum will fill that slot nicely. I highly recommend you check out its 2012 live album “Live in the Sierra” for a taste.

• Hot Buttered Rum plays the Bourbon Theatre, 1415 O St., with Allie Kral of Cornmeal and Dead Winter Carpenters. 8 p.m. show, $15 in advance or $18 day of show. 18+.
