On three Thursdays during December, Cursive will take up residence at Omaha’s Waiting Room Lounge to play setlists full of fan favorites and deep cuts from the band’s catalog.

A press release says it’s “part of a new live recording project,” which could either be a live album or maybe the band is starting an archive of its live shows much like bands such as Metallica, KISS and many others have done in the past.

Each of the band’s performances — Dec. 5, Dec. 12 and Dec. 19 — will feature two special guests opening the show. (See the schedule below.)

Tickets for each individual show are $12. A three-night pass is $30. All tickets are available at etix.com.

Dec. 5 — Cursive with Lightning Bug, InDreama

Dec. 12 — Cursive with Criteria, David Bazan

Dec. 19 — Cursive with Ladyfinger (ne), Ted Stevens Unknown Project
