Tommy Lee will be at tonight’s men’s basketball game in Lincoln. Lee is set to perform* at the game along with Karmin, the popular pop group whose Amy Heidemann is from Nebraska. (And if you recall, Lee filmed “Tommy Lee Goes to College” at UNL.)
After the game, Lee and DJ Aero will perform at Vega, the new music venue in the Railyard across the street from the Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Lee and Aero will DJ after opening sets from local spinners $pencelove and Stephen Bils.
There is a $10 cover for the 21-and-over show. The event starts at 10 p.m.
In addition to drumming with Motley Crue, Lee has long been into EDM. Lately, he’s been making music and performing with Aero. Early this year, they put out an EP called “#MSND” on Deadmau5′s mau5trap label.
Check out Heat Maxwell’s remix of Lee & Aero’s “The Rules” below or listen to more of “#MSND” over at Beatport.
* Lee is supposed to perform at tonight’s game in one way or another. UNL will say nothing officially, but Lee tweeted at the UNL drumline, so maybe he’ll suit up with the marching band again. Those in the know also told me that he’s going to DJ at halftime tonight.
